I’ve never seen plowed snow break up weirdly before. Cubes mostly that would do Picasso proud and some round like glistening white cannonballs.

I think it’s because it’s mostly sleet.

Creepily, some of it in this pile looks like faces, from menacing to malevolent. Old Man Winter and Jack Frost in bad moods, perhaps?

I’ve also never seen foot and a half drifts of sleet, with a layer of hard freezing rain ice underneath and a dusting of regular snow on top. Weather tiramisu. A very strange winter that is hopefully about to segue into spring. Soon.
