I just stumbled across this charming interview, with an author I had unfortunately never heard of, who writes books I need to read. His name is Alan Garner, and the books are the Weirdstone Trilogy.

Article about Alan Garner

His new one, Boneland, comes along nearly 50 years after the others. As he answers questions about how he writes, I find myself smiling because the way he goes about it is similar to what happens to me as stories percolate and get themselves written. It’s not every day I come across someone else like that.

I need to hunt these novels down. If his fiction is as entertaining as his answers to questions, I’m in for a treat.
